Karen L. Gregory
Karen Gregory is an Acute Care Clinical Nurse Specialist, Board Certified, with a specialty in asthma, allergy and pulmonary medicine. She is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Certified Asthma Educator. Karen Gregory obtained her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. Karen is on faculty at the University of Oklahoma, College of Nursing and teaches Nursing Research. She lectures extensively on issues related to allergy, asthma and other pulmonary diseases and is published in these areas. She has served on the Association of Asthma Educators Board of Directors for the past five years and currently serves as the Immediate Past President. Karen serves as a faculty member of the American Association for Respiratory Care Asthma Preparatory Course and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Education Course. Karen is very active in the Oklahoma Asthma Initiative and other groups promoting asthma education and management. Her current research includes asthma disparity in the rural population. Throughout Karen's 24 year career in pulmonary medicine, she has held many active memberships and leadership positions in her professional organizations serving on board of directors, committees, and projects including assisting with the establishment of two professional organizations.
