Established in 1925 as the Balyeat Hay Fever and Asthma Clinic after its founder, Ray M. Balyeat, MD, a true pioneer in the specialty of allergy and asthma medicine. In 1954, the practice was renamed the Oklahoma Allergy Clinic and then 40 years later, became the Oklahoma Allergy and Asthma Clinic.
As one of the oldest, largest, most respected and advanced allergy and asthma centers in the United States. The Oklahoma Allergy & Asthma Clinic is dedicated solely to the research, diagnosis and management of allergies, asthma and other allergic disorders. It is one of only a few allergy centers in the country with a fulltime registered, licensed dietitian specializing in food allergy. Additionally, the practice utilizes a comprehensive Asthma Disease Management Program headed by a Registered Respiratory Therapist who is also a Registered Nurse Asthma Educator and a Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Board Certification
When your allergist is Board Certified, you are assured the most advanced treatment available, provided by a physician whose skills and abilities meet the highest standards in the specialty.All Oklahoma Allergy & Asthma Clinic physicians are Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology, having spent nine years in medical training after four years of college. Two of these years were dedicated to the full-time diagnosis and management of allergies, asthma and related disorders. Each has passed rigorous tests to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and continually expands his or her knowledge in the field through research and continuing education programs.

For the convenience of our patients, the Oklahoma Allergy & Asthma Clinic operates Four offices. The central Oklahoma City office is located in the Oklahoma Allergy & Asthma Clinic Building (just east of Lincoln Blvd. on N.E. 13th) on the Oklahoma Health Center campus.
